Here are some common tax forms Complete Forms W-4 and CT-W4 and return them to your employer so that the correct Federal and Connecticut income taxes are withheld from your pay. Because your tax situation may change, you may want to recompute your withholding each year. All employees, citizens and noncitizens, hired after November 6, 1986, must complete Section 1 of this form at the time of hire, which is the actual beginning of employment. The employer is responsible for ensuring that Section 1 is timely and properly completed. Use Form W-9 to request the taxpayer identification number (TIN) of a U.S. Citizen (including a resident alien) and to request certain certifications and claims for exemption Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification - Use this form to request the Taxpayer ID from a vendor or supplier.
